Dear Friend of the Rhoads Family:

After much prayer and consideration the time has come for us to resign our missionary appointment to Suriname. Our work in Suriname was pioneering in nature, and now we need to move aside and let someone else take the work to another level. We have looked at the possibility of working in several other fields, but do not feel led in that direction.

It has been a privilege for our family to serve as missionaries of the United Pentecostal Church International. Our reason for resigning has to do with our personal calling, and not with any problem with Global Missions policy, procedure or personnel.

We appreciate the endorsement of the Global Missions Board and the General Board of the United Pentecostal Church. We are also thankful for the prayers and generous financial support of many churches and individuals during our time as missionaries.

Thank you for helping us fulfill our calling.
